The Skyeye IT team successfully won the bid for the national key research project on emergency communications.

On August 12, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) jointly released the "2024 Emergency Communication Equipment Innovation Unveiling and Leading Mechanism Shortlist." After rigorous procedures including open application submission, expert review, and panel evaluation, 46 organizations were selected for 10 task categories.

      Among the successful entries was the "Intelligent Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) Microwave Equipment" project, spearheaded by the Skyeye IT team in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology Beijing and the National Institute of Natural Hazards under MEM. Its inclusion in the national key research list marks a significant breakthrough for Skyeye IT in the field of emergency communications.

      This project specifically addresses the critical challenges of "disrupted roads, power outages, and communication breakdowns" during emergency rescue operations. It focuses on overcoming the technical bottlenecks of microwave communication in non-line-of-sight environments. According to MEM data, communication disruptions caused by natural disasters increased by 12% year-on-year in 2024, highlighting the limitations of traditional satellite communication, such as high costs and significant latency. The system developed by the team can establish an emergency communication network with a single-hop transmission range of up to 50 kilometers within 3 minutes, significantly enhancing disaster response capabilities.

Key technological innovations include:

  1. Beidou Positioning-Assisted NLOS Microwave Servo Precision Control Technology: Achieves centimeter-level positioning accuracy.

  2. Multi-Dimensional Reconfigurable Intelligent Communication Technology (Space-Time-Frequency Domain): Reduces signal interruption rate by 50% and improves spectrum utilization by 40%.

  3. Cross-Technology Fusion Rapid Pairing Mechanism: Optimizes communication stability in complex environments.

Currently, the team has completed laboratory validation and entered the prototype development stage. The next step involves conducting field tests in collaboration with the National Institute of Natural Hazards to accelerate the transformation of the research outcomes. The Skyeye IT team has pledged to fully dedicate itself to tackling the technical challenges, aiming to provide scientific and technological support for the modernization of China's national emergency management system.

Looking ahead, as the project progresses, the "Intelligent Non-line-of-Sight Microwave Equipment" is expected to become a landmark achievement in China's emergency communications sector, offering a "Chinese approach" to global disaster relief efforts.
